This course is ideal for people who require an annual update and have already gained experience and understanding of fire safety awareness.

• Fire extinguisher recognition

At the end of the session attendees will be familiar with:

• Stating the employees obligations and that of the employers with regard to fire safety.
• Understanding the consequences of poor fire safety practices within the work place.
• Defining the term Fire Safety.
• Defining the term Fire Awareness.
• Identifying the correct techniques to maintain fire safety in the work environment.
• Stating the actions to be taken in the event of a fire taking place within the work environment.
• How to respond appropriately and safely to a fire related emergency or injury to a person at their place of work. 

Practical Session:

• Identify the correct manoeuvres for use on a range of different manual handling situations
• How to use a fire extinguisher.
