INFECTION CONTROL AWARENESS

Our Infection Control training is aimed at any employee, self-employed person, or safety representative who may be exposed to blood or other body fluids. This course is designed to meet the requirements and recommendations of the HSE, NHS and allied medical professionals.  


This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the issues surrounding infection control and highlights working practices that prevent the spread of infection.

Duration: Half Day

Contact Hours: 3 hours

Certification: Awareness Course

Assessment Type: Knowledge Assessment


This course is ideal for people who require an annual update and have already gained experience and understanding of Infection Control principles.

  • State their obligations and that of their employers with regard to infection control and Prevention.
  • Understand the consequences of poor infection control practice 
  • State the actions to be taken in relation to the infection control requirements put in place at their place of work. 
  • Identify the correct actions with regard to a range of different infection control situations.
  • Describe the principle of Infection Control and Prevention.
  • Identify ways to address and implement Infection Control and Prevention in the work place.
